Six people have died after two helicopters collided in Brazil, including American alternative pop singer Oliver Tree. The 32-year-old rapper, comedian and filmmaker was on a world tour when the helicopter he was traveling in collided with another helicopter in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.
Footage of the accident broadcast by Brazilian media showed a helicopter falling from the sky and thick smoke billowing from the crash site. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the helicopters to collide. The Rio de Janeiro state military fire department said it was notified of the accident at 9 a.m. local time.
Born in 1993 in Santa Cruz, California, Tree has been a viral figure on social media since 2016. Oliver, who is also known for his distinctive hairstyle, has given hit songs like 'Life Goes On', 'Miss You' and 'Alien Boy'. He is currently on a world tour and had a show in Sao Paulo, Brazil on June 6.
