Ramesh Sippy, director of the famous Bollywood film 'Sholay', is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the Nepal International Film Festival (NIF).
He is set to come to Nepal to make a special appearance at the inaugural program, said NIF President KP Pathak.
Pathak informed that Sippy will share his journey of Indian films, his film journey and experiences with Nepali filmmakers and the audience at NIF. ‘Expanding the relationship between Nepali-Indian filmmakers and the experience of a diverse personality will definitely be fruitful for Nepali filmmakers. We are happy that he has also accepted our proposal,’ he said.
Sippy has directed more than a dozen films. The last film he directed, ‘Shimla Mirchi,’ was released in 2020. He is also a producer and actor.
