The much-awaited song 'Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke' from the upcoming Kannada film 'KD: The Devil' is currently embroiled in controversy.

The Hindi version of the song has been removed from YouTube after the controversy erupted.

The song was removed from YouTube after it was heavily criticized on social media for its lyrics and visuals and after a complaint was filed with the censor board.

KVN Productions had released the promo of the song last Friday and the full video on Saturday. The Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions of the song, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, are still available online.

Advocate Vineet Jindal has filed a complaint with the Central Board of Film Certification, claiming that the song uses 'extremely obscene, sexually suggestive and objectionable' words. The complaint states that the song is offensive to public morals and harmful to minors.

The complaint, which has also been forwarded to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has demanded the song be permanently removed from all digital platforms. Advocate Jindal has also filed a separate criminal complaint in this regard with the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police.

Action has been demanded under Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code, the POCSO Act and the Information Technology Act.

Soon after the song was released, users on social media strongly criticized it. On X (Twitter), a user wrote, ‘This new song by Nora Fatehi has crossed all limits of obscenity.’

Another user questioned the role of the Indian Censor Board and wrote, ‘Is there a Censor Board in India? How are songs with such ambiguous and obscene words allowed?’

Many have expressed concerns that this song will have a negative impact on the younger generation and children.

‘KD: The Devil’ is an action crime drama set in the 1970s. Directed by Prem, this film stars Dhruv Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty and Reshma Nanaya in the lead roles.

The film is scheduled to release on April 30, 2026.

The controversial Hindi version of the song had Mangli's vocals, Rakib Alam's lyrics, and Arjun Janya's music.

After the controversy erupted, Nora Fatehi defended herself by saying that she had not heard the lyrics of the song and that the production team was responsible for it.
