A Nepali movie 'Sherwa - The Life of Himalayas' is going to be made to show the adventure life and cultural heritage of the Sherpa community. The film is being produced to be released internationally in 2026.

actor Buddhi Tamang will play the lead role in the movie. The movie is jointly directed by Karma Sherpa and Durlav Jantare. The story of the film is written by Karma Sherpa. Similarly, screenplay is by Suman Gajmer, cinematography by Ranjit Shrestha, music composition by Atal Rai and singing by Sachin Rai. Presented by Sherpa Films and produced in collaboration with Ducke Expedition, the movie is still under production.
Karma Sherpa said that the aim of this is to encourage the real representation of the Himalayan community and the emergence of new artists. "Our aim is to convey the story of the entire Himalayan society to the world," said director Sherpa, "where life is mixed with courage, culture and self-strength." Arca director Durlav Jantare said that there is also a plan to participate the film in various international film festivals.
'This film based on superb cinematography, original music and realistic story is raising a rare topic in Nepali cinema,' Jantare said, 'Sherwa - The Life of Himalaya' will be a film that will also participate in the International Film Festival.
