This year too, the participation of beautiful women who are active in mental health from medical profession to Miss Nepal is more visible. 26 women from yoga teacher to scuba diver backgrounds will compete for the 'Miss Nepal' crown in the grand finale to be held at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center on August 14.
As in previous years, Sundari was asked to choose the contestant number this time too. Aarti Thapa, who is also a yoga teacher, chose contestant number 16 from the box placed on the stage. 23-year-old Aarti from Dolakha is a computer application student. 25-year-old Angela Rajak (13) has participated from Kathmandu. Jagadishwari Shah of Nepalgunj identifies herself as an activist. The 25-year-old has been working in the social sector for about 10 years. She is also a member of the 'Youth Council' of the American Embassy in Nepal and says that she is working for social change.
This year theater artist Jasoda Karki is also participating in Miss Nepal. Jasoda from Dolakha is a student of Political Science. Another beauty Christina Basnet chose the contestant number 15 in the program. Studying psychology, he is also a theater performer.
