The shooting of the Hollywood film 'Tasi', based on the story of the first Everest climber Tenjing Norgay Sherpa, will be done from Monday at various locations in Mustang. Based on the story of climbing the highest peak Everest in 1953 under the leadership of Sherpa climbers, the film 'Tassi' is going to be shot in different locations of three local levels here.
A big jumbo team of the film "Tassi" including Hollywood, Bollywood and Nepali technicians and other personnel have arrived here and it is said that some are about to arrive. The American technology company Apple is going to produce the Hollywood film 'Tassie'.
The unit of the film, which is planning to shoot in different districts of Nepal, has arrived here for the shooting, informed Palgen Gurung, the shooting location facilitator. According to him, for the film, more than 80 cars and vans with more than 300 manpower, more than 50 trucks carrying small and large goods and more than 10 vehicles with toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and sleeping arrangements have entered Mustang.
After the team came here, Gurung informed that about two dozen hotels in Jomsom and Puthang Airports have been booked in advance for one month. Facilitator Gurung mentioned that the film will be shot in Kuchpa Teranga Gumba of Gharpazhong rural municipality-5 and Lakki of Gharpazhong-1. Similarly, Gurung said that there is a plan to shoot the film in Boksi Khola of Thasang Rural Municipality and Purang, Jharkot, Dharkajung, Falyak Sports Field and Lupra Pass of Baragung Mukti Kshetra.
It is said that the film will include the mountain climbing of Everest climber Sherpa, the Himalayan civilization, and the biodiversity here. For shooting this film in Mustang, Wednes Outdoor Company has already paid the revenue fee to the concerned local level for the 'location' shooting a week ago.
Tourism businessman Rakesh Bhattachan informed that the hotel of Jomsom was full with the arrival of the film unit that will be shot in three municipalities of the district. Tourism businessman Bhattachan said that with the ease of Korla road of national pride, Hollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood films have been shot in Mustang. "This type of film shooting in Mustang will contribute greatly to the economic development of this place and help in the development and promotion of tourism here through film," he said.
When the road network was not developed in Mustang, the Bollywood film 'Khuda Gawah' was shot. After that, the big budget Hollywood movie 'Tassie' is going to be shot. Films shot here will help in the development of religious and mountain tourism in Mustang. Dozens of Nepali, Hindi and English films have been shot in Mustang in the last 10 years. Similarly, Mustang is becoming a famous filming center for short movies, music videos and documentaries.
