According to Mumbai Police, the person who sent death threats to actor Salman Khan is mentally ill.

According to the information provided by the Mumbai police to the Indian media, 26-year-old Mayank Pandya from Vadodara, Gujarat was detained during the investigation after the threat to Salman. It is alleged that Pandya threatened to kill Salman through WhatsApp.

According to police officials, Pandya was mentally ill. Now he is undergoing treatment. The message sent by Pandya to the WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai Traffic Police was written, 'We will enter your house and kill you .'  He also claimed that a bomb was planted in Salman's car.

Similar language was used in the threats received by Salman earlier . Salman Khan is currently living with his family in Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. He has long been a target of the Lawrence Vishnoi gang .

In the last two years, Salman has received this kind of threat for the fifth time . Last year, after gunmen from the gang opened fire in front of his house, his security was tightened.
