Film critic Rita Dutt believes that in order to make a film in co-production with different countries, there should be a global element in the story. In the discussion held at the 8th International Nepal Film International Festival titled 'Complications of co-production', Rita expressed this opinion by giving examples of 'The Lunchbox' and 'All We Imagine as Light'.

After watching the film while in Cannes, the audience praised the film. At that time I thought, what could have touched them? The film also did well at the Indian box office. Payal Kapadia's film also received a good response from the international audience. Maybe you need a global element in your story to collaborate with different countries,' said Rita . In terms of co-production, Rita sees a lot of possibilities between filmmakers from Nepal and India. In terms of location, many Indian films have been shot in Nepal. The culture and food of Nepal and India are similar. It is easy to collaborate between film industries with similar cultures . That's why I see a possibility in collaboration with Nepal and India," said Rita, "I hope that soon Meen Bham and Vinod Poudel will make a film in collaboration with Indian filmmakers. It is possible'. 

Director Meen Bahadur Bham shares his experience of not having to make any kind of agreement while making a film with grants from different countries. In the interaction, Meen said that this kind of collaboration has made him more independent and strong. "The producers of co-productions want to cooperate with the story I come up with, not to pressure me." They don't
tell me that the film should be made in this way . I feel more independent working with many producers from many countries . I am making the film I want without any influence or pressure . That's why I see a good situation for cooperation now, said Meen. At the beginning of his

career, Meen had increased access to producers from different countries. Gradually he met different platforms from lab, market where he saw the way of co-creation .  However, for this kind of co-production, Meen says that there should be a 'universal' element in the story. In Shambhala, my producer questioned the length of the film at first. But I told them that I am not ready to cut the film," Meen said. "Yes, then the producer looks for universal elements. But in terms of directors, we have the right to take decisions . I see the possibility of making a film in co-production. If you have the money to make a film, make it, but if not, you should be ready for co-production, I don't see an alternative. '

' No director should take the stress of this kind of co-production to tell a story, says Meen. It is the responsibility of the producer to decide how to cooperate with the producer of the particular country for the film. We lack such manufacturers . Such producers will come with money from different countries and platforms to make films, this is not the job of the director,' said Meen looking at the audience.  Director Vinod Paudel's bank was empty while making

However, he jokes that he was able to make a film even when he was empty handed because of co-production. ``In co-production, I have a different process, let's say very different from Meen's . Bulbul was also an indie film . The film was made after meeting the producer. And it did well in the market. Sanghuro did not do well at the box office .  'Bhuthan'  When making  , the relationship became like that, the way for co-production was opened . It is not easy to reach co-construction,' said Vinod.
