Nepali folk pop band Kandara will perform in Ilam on Friday. On the occasion of Gyalpo Lhochar, the band is going to perform at Karfolk Sports Ground located in Suryodaya Garpalika-12.
The concert is being organized by Suryodaya Hotel Business Association and co-organized by Karfolk Yuva Parivar. Vivek Shrestha, leader and lead singer of
band, said that he was excited to perform in Ilam for the first time in 32 years. "The audience is going to come from Sikkim and Darjeeling in India to watch this performance, it is a matter of happiness for us," Shrestha said.
This band, which has been popular recently, is now touring the country and abroad with the slogan 'Phila Ghardesh Ani Pardesh'. Kandara has already performed in Pokhara and Kathmandu. The band, which started its international tour from the UK, has performed in Qatar, UAE and Hong Kong. Soon the band is ready to resonate in Australia, Europe and America.
The band will perform in 8 Australian cities from March to April. Concerts are scheduled for March 8 in Hobart, March 15 in Melbourne, March 22 in Canberra, and April 12 in Adelaide. The band will also perform in New Zealand at the same time. The
band has Vivek Shrestha on vocals, Sunil Thapa on drums, Dev Lama on lead guitar, Pankaj Jha on bass guitar, Avinash singer on madal and Umesh Thapa on keyboard.
