'Dromer' has won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale). Based on the love story of the queer community, this film won the biggest award of the festival. The film tells the story of a girl who falls in love with her female teacher. 18 films competed with 'Dromer' in the main competition.
Similarly, this year the film 'The Blue Trail' won the 'Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize' and the 'Silver Bear Jury Prize' was won by 'The Message'. While Huo Mong won the Silver Bear for Best Director for 'Living the Land', Rose Brune won the 'Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance' for 'If I Had Legs I Would Kick You'.
Actor Andrew Scott won the Silver Bear for 'Best Supporting Performance' from the film 'Blue Moon' directed by famous director Richard Linklater. While Radu Jude won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay for 'Continental 25', Lucille Hachihalelovich for 'The Ice Tower' picked up the Silver Bear for Contribution to the Arts .
This year at the 75th edition of the Berlinale, Quenton Miller won the 'Kupra Filmmaker Award, Berlinale Shorts' for 'Cookie Sao'. Similarly, the 'Silver Bear Jury Prize' was won by Yuriko Misusuri. For the best short, "Golden Bear" was won by "Lloyd Wong, Unfinished". "Holding Liat" received a Special Mention for the Documentary Award by the Berlin Jury and "The Devil's Smokes" won the award for the Perspectives Jury.
