The Film Development Board has invited bids for the 'Indoor Shooting Studio' to be constructed in Ward No. 10 and 13 of Banepa Municipality of Kavrepalanchok. Today, the board released the information and said that companies interested in construction can apply through 'e-bidding' within the next 30 days.
Chairman of the Board Dinesh D.C. informed that the dream of filmmakers for many years will be fulfilled soon. This is going to be a grand studio for Nepali movie shooting. This project will provide a convenient shooting location with state-of-the-art technology to the indigenous film industry, so it is a dream for all filmmakers,'' he said.
The studio to be built on an area of 42 ropani in Banepa was planned for the past few years but could not be implemented. President DC said that the foundation stone of the studio is planned to be laid within two months. "The work I have been doing since I assumed the position as the chairman of the board is now taking shape, along with the studio, we will soon get the new film policy that is needed now," said the chairman DC. He informed that preparations are being made to implement 'Real Time Box Office' from Baisakh 1, 2082.
