Navadurga Rural Municipality will declare a public holiday tomorrow (Friday) due to a fair being held at the Mashta Bhagwati Devi Temple.

Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, Pushparaj Joshi, has issued a notice informing that the office of the municipality, government offices under it and educational institutions will remain closed. The notice states that the famous, historical and religious site located within the rural municipality, the temple of Mashta Bhagwati Devi, attracts a large crowd of devotees every year, so it has been decided to grant a holiday for smooth management.

The Mashta Bhagwati Mela, which holds religious significance, has been celebrated as a religious, cultural and social festival. Every year, the fair is held on the night of the Chaturdashi of the full moon of the Mangsir month and on the second day of the full moon day.
