'It was understood that the Chinese government did not pay attention to our problem from the highest level,' she said, 'It was found that the Chinese people are sensitive to solving the problem if such issues can be raised in a serious manner during the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister.'
Due to the fact that the locals of the bordering districts are not allowed to enter Mansarovar, the worship of dozens of temples in Bajhang, Humla, Darchula and other districts has been stopped for years. Since it is a tradition to perform the puja only by offering the water of the Mansarovar lake in Tibet, this type of puja has not been possible for six years since the Chinese government banned the entry to the lake.
Lately, due to the tightening of entry into Tibet, problems have also been seen in other traditional trade and cultural relations. Since then, the issue of road upgrading from Hilsa, the border area of Tibet to Simikot, the headquarters of Humla, has also been discussed in the meeting, according to the participating officials from Humla.
Chief District Officer of Humla, Narayan Pandey, who participated in the meeting, said that the Chinese side was positive about the Chinese government's support for the upgradation of Hilsa Simikot, which is about 100 kilometers long, and studying the feasibility for it.
