Khairabang Bhagwati Temple in Sharda Municipality-11 has been crowded with devotees since its inception.
Due to the crowd of devotees, the temple and its surroundings have increased and business has also flourished. From Ghatastapana to Shashti, more than 15,000 devotees have offered darshan and worship, said Chhabi Kumar Sharma, chairman of the temple religious area development committee.
He informed that daily one and a half/two hundred devotees from within and outside the district are coming for darshan and worship at Khairabang Bhagwati Temple.
According to him, 1 lakh 50 thousand devotees come annually, since Dasain started, devotees are coming at the rate of 3/4 thousand daily. The Department of Archeology has said that the construction of Khairabang Bhagwati temple in pagoda style has been stopped, but devotees have come despite some discomfort.
