Chief engineer Tejashwi Sharma of Chaurjahari road division office said that the construction was delayed due to the fact that the design of the bridge had to be changed.
'Initially work started on 'Pyal Foundation' design . Later, when it was not possible, the design was changed and the bridge was built with an 'open foundation' design,' Engineer Shama, explaining the reason why it took so long to build the bridge, said, 'That's why it took time to build the bridge.' In addition, the work was stopped for a few years due to covid.'
The bridge has been constructed by Nagarjuna Construction Company Pvt Ltd at a total cost of Rs 961 lakh 5119. According to Avinash Aryal, Engineer of Chaurjahari Road Division, this bridge is built in pre-state model and its length is 80 meters. Also, this bridge has two spans.
With the construction of this bridge, it will be easy to travel through the proposed additional 75 km road of Rapti Lokmarg. Athabiskot, Bafikot and Dolpa and Rukum eastbound traffic will also be easy.
