Out of the four local levels of the district, there are no hospitals in three villages. Since the three municipalities have not been able to operate the hospital for 6 and a half years since the local level has been in operation, the locals are experiencing inconvenience in medical treatment.
There is only one hospital with a capacity of 15 beds in Chayanath Rara Municipality. There is no hospital in Soru, Khatyad and Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality. As there is no primary hospital, local residents have to go outside the headquarters or the district even for basic health care.
The government issued instructions to build a 10-bed hospital in each local level and laid the foundation stone, but the local levels here have not been able to bring the hospitals into operation. A 10-bed hospital laid the foundation stone of Seep Tarapani three years ago in Soru Rural Municipality, so far. Also The construction has not been completed.
The federal government has allocated 110 million budget for the construction of the hospital, but the construction work has not been completed yet. It is difficult for the patients to see the doctor's face because there is no hospital in the rural municipality with a population of about 18 thousand and 11 wards. Dhanrup Budha, a local, said that there is no hospital in the rural municipality, so it is necessary to go to the district hospital even for the treatment of common diseases.
Even in Mugum Karmarong Rural Municipality, which is considered geographically difficult, a hospital has not been built. The federal government has released a budget of 100 million for the construction of a hospital in that rural municipality, but the construction of the hospital is stalled. Carmarong, which has 9 wards and a population of 6,600, has not been able to expand a hospital for a period of four years, so it has become difficult to treat patients.
Although there are 5 health posts, 4 basic health centers and two community health centers in the rural municipality, there is an obligation to go to the district hospital to treat complex diseases. Patients there have to go to Bajura Kolti, Jumla Karnali Pratishthan and District Hospital Gamgarhi to get treatment for complex diseases.
