Due to lack of access to the regulatory bodies, the locals have demanded action from the construction businessmen due to negligence in the contracted works in the rural areas. Local residents have complained that the road connecting Bhimad in Tanahun-Rampur in Palpa-Mityal-Arunkhola in East Nawalpur under the North-South road has been neglected in upgrading.

After two years of the expiry of the contract, only 21% of the construction work was done by the local residents. The residents of Nisdi have demanded action against the builders who are doing substandard work on Rampur-Mityal-Jalukeghat Arunkhola road of Palpa section. 

The negligence of the engineer and sub-engineer of the road division office Palpa, the local Om Bahadur Thapa said that after the negligence in the work of gavin wall, drain construction, retaining wall and gravel in various places of Mityal, the local asked the village council and the road division . "At the place where the retaining wall is installed, cement has been mixed with soil and sand," he said, "no work has been done well." But the regulatory body has not been monitored.

The monitoring team led by the vice chairman of the rural municipality has informed the road division about the builders doing substandard work. Vice President Tiran Kumari Shrestha said that based on the complaint of the local people, the approval committee of the rural municipality found that the work done through the road division had been completed during the monitoring. 'Based on the complaint of the local people, we have done the monitoring,' she said, 'because the village government is also working in the same area, the local people have complained.' Found to be negligent. It has been found that the retaining wall installed at different places of the road and the mortar used in the drains are of poor quality. The road division has awarded two contracts on the Rampur-Mityal-Jalukeghat Arunkhola road . 

The builders of both the contracts did not work on time . On this road, Subedi Construction Service, Bhimad Tanahun, under Nisdi rural municipality, has signed a contract worth 1 crore 4 lakh 47 thousand with an estimated cost of 1 crore 93 lakh 21 thousand. The builder who signed the contract on June 6, 2078 should complete it on June 25, 2080. 

But so far only 82 percent has worked . The work done is also of poor quality. Gravel, retaining wall, drain construction, gavine, widening etc. are to be done in Mityal Bazar (Ruksevnjang). "The work should be done quickly, but it has not been done," said Durga Saru, a local resident, "There is a problem of delaying and not completing the work." The local youth has been alerting the road division and rural municipality since the delay in the road work.

According to the local Khum Saru, the road upgrade contract will be awarded but the work is not done on time, so the residents of Nisdi have to suffer after the rainy season . "We have been warning many times," he said, "but the hearing has not yet taken place." The residents of Nisdi have always had to suffer because the builders did not pay attention to the work.

Even though the contract for the construction was awarded, the work is slow due to the lack of attention of the concerned bodies. As the engineer and sub-engineer did not go for monitoring, the work was not completed even two years after the expiry of the contract . Under the road, Amrit Construction has signed a contract agreement for 97 lakh 54 thousand for the estimated cost of 1 crore 92 lakh 62 thousand. After the agreement was signed on February 2, 2078, the contract for the work worth 1.92 million has been completed for 9.754 thousand. The businessmen who took the contract decreased by 49 percent, so far only 21 percent of the work has been done.
