If the work had been done on time, the strategic road here would have been blacklisted four years ago. Due to negligence of the contractor, non-disbursement of budget on time and problems in landslide control, the road from Galkot in Baglung via Tarakhola to the room of Myagdi has not been completed yet.

Out of the 40 km road section, the work of the 11 km section, which was started in the first phase, has not been completed . Black paper has started with the upgrading of the strategic road connecting the rooms. Chandra Bahadur Pun of Infrastructure Development Office Baglung said that even after four years of the specified time, only 78 percent of this road has progressed. 72 percent payment has already been made in this plan. If this road is built, it will be connected from Galkot section of Madhyapahari Lokmarg to Malika Rural Municipality of Myagdi.

For the road under construction at a cost of 45 million 47 lakh 59 thousand rupees, the work has not been completed due to lack of budget for the current year. MS Apex Khadka Krishna Joint Construction Company is working on this road. The deadline was extended for the first time with the goal of completing the project on 29th Chait 2081 after the construction company that had signed the contract in November 2076 to complete the project within 26th November 2078. So far, 78 percent physical progress of the road has been achieved.

Dhan Bahadur Bik, Chairman of Tarakhola Rural Municipality said that although the target is to be able to work by the end of June, the chances are low. "Even if it can be done, the work of cutting landslides has just started, it will not end this year," he said. Even after increasing the number of people, the work is not completed. Efforts are being made to work so that the road will not be blocked during the rainy season.' If this road is blocked, the traffic in Tarakhola Rural Municipality will be stopped during rain.

If the road is made easy, many products produced in Tarakhola will be easy to find the market . Out of 11 km, 6 km have been blacked with DBST technology, while 500 meters of the road have been sloped, said Engineer Pun. In the remaining 3 and a half kilometer section of the road, road expansion, retaining wall, drainage and laying of sub-base have been done. But there is still work to be done. When this road is completed, it will become easy from Harichour in Galkot to Sanghubot through Tarakhola Hill. Tarakhola rural municipality's plan to connect the municipality to transport through the ring road has also been delayed due to this road.

Apart from this, Shahid Marg connecting Tarakhola from Ghodabandhe of Kathekhola rural municipality through Argal has not been made level. Since the budget is not guaranteed, it is difficult to reach the municipality in rainy season as the contract for this road cannot be awarded. If the under-construction road is built, patients from Tarakhola will be able to easily travel to Galkot for treatment. Until the road leading to the headquarters is leveled, the residents of Tarakhol have to go to Galkot for general services.
