In order to promote tourism, the 'Dhakre Trail' footpath has been launched in Udaipur. A new footpath was inaugurated on Saturday to reach Halesi from Udaipurgarhi Rural Municipality-8, Baghkhor via Limchungbung.

Chief District Officer Premprasad Luintel organized a formal program to establish the 'Baghkhor-Limchubung-Halesi' footpath and bid farewell to the trekkers. Chairman of Limchungbung Rural Municipality, Major Kumar Rai, said that the walk was started with the name 'Dhakre Trail' to re-establish the road that used to carry goods such as salt, oil, rice and other goods from the headquarters Gaighat to Dhaka two decades ago.

"The road that our father used to carry salt from the headquarter to the village has now disappeared due to the expansion of the road network," he said, "we have named it 'Dhakre Trail' so that the new generation should know the path that the ancestors sweated on."  'Dhakre Trail' started in Udaipur for hiking enthusiasts
