Diktel-Kathmandu, Kathmandu-Diktel direct traffic has been operated since Tuesday. After the road department repaired the damaged roads in various places from Nepalthok to Rosikhola in Sindhuli, large vehicles started direct transport service.
According to Ram Hingmang, General Secretary of Khotang Transport Pvt. Ltd., on Tuesday, large and small transport vehicles of Khotang Transport, Himal Terai, Everest, Tuwachung Maratika, Namaste Bhojpur and other companies have started. The transport service has been started by maintaining the fare rate before the road collapse.
According to Hingmang, the bus fare from Diktel-Kathmandu, Kathmandu-Diktel is 1600 rupees and jeep fare is 2000 rupees. "Transportation service has been started by fixing the fare before the flood," Hingmang said, "Bus fare has been fixed at 1,600 and jeep fare at 2,000." Buses used to charge 3,000 and jeeps used to charge 4,000.
It was necessary to pay 3000 in the bus and 4000 in the jeep for the journey via Diktel-Katari-Bardibas-Pathalaiya-Mughlin, Thankot to Kathmandu. Now, direct traffic has been operated from the BP highway route to Diktel-Kathmandu for a distance of 265 km. This has made it easy for those who come home to celebrate Dasain.
