It has become easier after the construction of rural roads in most parts of the district. The roads that were damaged by the rain till October 12th became easier after the local levels repaired them. Village Chairman Udim Bahadur Rai has said that most of the rural roads damaged by rain in Khotehang Rural Municipality have been repaired.
Khotangbazar – Simpani – Rasuwabazar, Dhanmuda – Thulibesi – Kalapani – Rasuwabazar, Khotangbazar – Ratmata – Sawakhola, Khotangbazar – Badkadiale, Sawakat Hare – Waplukha – Likuvapokhri, Khotangbazar – Badkadiale – Chimanebgar – Ganesh Chautara – Likuvapokhari, Khotangbazar – Roksing Bhanjyarang Ndrenipokhari, Simpani Rai said that the main roads including Rasuwabazar, Khotabazar-Chipring-Tuwakhola and other main roads have been repaired. "We have repaired the roads damaged by the rain and brought them into operation since yesterday," Rai said, "Now it is easy to travel." According to village head Shalikram Banjara, the rural roads including Dhaplang-Dhartung-Barahpokhari road connecting with Tarai have been operated after repair. It came into operation after the landslide in Rapchavir blocked by landslides in the Dhaplang-Dhartung-Barahpokhari road section was removed. "The road has also been put into operation after repair, it has also made travel easier," Banjara said.
Similarly, roads damaged by rain have been repaired in Jantedhunga Rural Municipality. Village Chairman Arun Devi Rai said that after the repair of the Chisapani-Bangsilaghat, Chisapani-Barahapokhari, Chisapani-Khotang Bazar roads, which connect with the Terai, they are operational.
The rural roads of Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality have been put into operation after repair. Rural roads including Panchami-Sapatel-Regmitar road, Panchami-Yamkha-Sapsukhola road connecting the headquarter Diktel have been put into operation after repair, said Lokendra Rai, chairman of the rural municipality.
Birsika Rai, the vice-president of the rural municipality, said that travel has become easier in Sakela rural municipality after the repair of rural roads. Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality, Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, Rawabesi Rural Municipality, Aiselukhark Rural Municipality and Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality have also been repaired by the respective local levels.
Baxila-Jalpa, Baxila-Fedi, Baxila-Khartamchha, Baxila-Baspani and other roads in Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality have been put into operation after the repair, Samir Rai, the village head said. The Baksila-Sungdel road of the rural municipality is yet to be repaired. "Except for the Baxila-Sungdel road, the roads within the municipality have been repaired and put into operation," Rai said, "The Baxila-Sungdel road will also be put into operation soon after repair."
