12 people from Paktanglung Rural Municipality-7 Olangchungola who came to Tapethok, the center of the rural municipality, returned to the vehicle on Wednesday. They went to Sejongma without actually reaching the settlement, and made the first record of going to their own ward by car from the headquarter Fungling.

Tenjing Walung, an employee of the ward office, said that 27 people were going to return from the village at the same time, but only one vehicle agreed to go. Others were walking away.

With this journey of theirs, it has been proved that the road network has reached all the wards of the district. Geographically, the third largest district after Dolpa and Humla has 61 wards. Apart from this, the road reached Sirijanga Rural Municipality-6 Mamankhe late. The citizens of Mamankhe have been able to travel from their own ward since last year.

According to the ward president of Olangchungola, Cheten Sherpa Lama, the transport will run to the ward office within this month. There is 5.5 km left to reach from Sajongma to the ward office. All that is left is to repair the road, which has already been opened.

Border with China In this area, the border with China was opened from Tiptala Bhanjyang to 32 kilometers down.

In winter, traffic will run in all wards of the district. In terms of geography, Paktanglung rural municipality, which occupies half of the district's territory, has built a temporary bridge for traffic operations in winter.

In order to connect one ward to another, such bridges are built in Sinwa, Chiruwa, Tapethok and other places. Village chairman Rajan Limwu says that the construction of the bridge has been done as part of the annual program and it has helped transport to reach all the villages. Bhattawahadur Karki, chairman of Mikwakhola rural municipality, informed that the hydropower operators in several places including Mikwakhola are building winter bridges in the river by placing home pipes.

Taplejung has one municipality and eight rural villages. Transportation has reached all the settlements within Fungling municipality. Locals say that it will take more time to reach the village in villages like Paktanglung, Sidingba and Sirijanga.

Even if you reach Olangchunggola, the ward office of Paktanglung-7, you have to walk for a whole day to reach Yangma settlement, while from Ward No. 6 Lelep, you have to walk for two days to go to Ghunsa and Khambachena. The ward presidents themselves say that it may take years to reach the road in these settlements. But the ward president Cheten said that there are no roads in the ward.
