The Nepali Army has accelerated the removal of the landslide that fell in the Ghasikuva of Tanahun. Due to the incessant rain since 4th of August, a landslide occurred at Ghasikuwa on the Prithvi Highway, blocking traffic.
"On the evening of the 5th of August in the evening of the Muglin Pokhara road of the said highway, the Nepali Army was deployed and the work of removing the landslide is continuing as soon as the news was received that the road was blocked by a landslide in Ghansikuwa located in Byas Municipality-12 of Tanahun," said the Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and local bodies are working to remove the landslide. The Nepali Army and other security agencies have removed the trees in the landslide, which spread over an area of about 130 meters on the highway. According to the Nepali Army, efforts are being made to open the blocked highway using excavators.
