The seventh 'Chamber Expo 2024' organized by Nepal Chamber of Commerce has started at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. Labor Employment and Social Security Minister Dol Prasad Aryal inaugurated the expo, which was organized with the aim of promoting and marketing local products and increasing trade.

In the expo, agricultural products, small and domestic industry products, handicraft items are displayed. Housing, food and beverages, clothing, textbooks, books, vehicles, construction materials, electrical equipment and other consumables are also on display.  Addressing the

expo, Chamber President Rajendra Malla said that the expo was organized to keep the economy running and expand business activities amid difficult economic conditions. "The country's economy is progressing slowly, the investment environment has not been created, we expect some increase in economic activity from EXO," he said. Chairman Malla said that the expo was organized to promote the market of locally produced products including agriculture and handicrafts and to expand the economic activities of small businessmen. Inaugurating the

program, Labor Employment and Social Security Minister Dol Prasad Aryal said that the government is sensitive to the latest state of the economy. He said that the role of the private sector in the economic development of the country is important.

The Chamber Expo has started in collaboration with the Trade and Export Promotion Center under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply. There are more than 160 stalls of national and international companies in the expo. Traders from Nepal, India, South Korea, Bangladesh and Pakistan have participated in the expo, which will last until next Monday.
