Bhumlu rural municipality has been declared a rural municipality with compulsory and free education. On the occasion of a program conducted by the rural municipality on Monday, the municipality was declared as a rural municipality with compulsory and free education.
Chairman of the municipality, Prem Bahadur Bhujel, has signed the declaration that has been made public and announced that the municipality has implemented free and compulsory education. In the survey conducted in all the villages, tolls, settlements and areas of the municipality, 2211 children of the school age group from 4 years to 13 years have been enrolled in school and all the wards have declared compulsory and free education.
According to Jitendraman Tamang, the vice president of the rural municipality, the municipal government has implemented 100% of the education rights guaranteed by the constitution. According to him, the municipality has fulfilled its first obligation by enrolling children within the municipality in schools and making them accessible to education. He expressed his commitment to provide quality education to the students by continuing this.
In accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of Nepal 2072 and the Compulsory and Free Education Act 2075, the Bethanchok Rural Municipality, Khanikhola Rural Municipality, Mahabharat Rural Municipality, Roshi Rural Municipality and Panauti Municipality of Kavre have been declared compulsory and free education by enrolling children in the school age group from 4 years to 13 years old.
On that occasion, Bhumlu Rural Municipality conducted Secondary Education Examination (SE) 2081 2 students who scored the best marks were awarded with 1 lakh rupees each. The students who get the best marks from the schools within the rural municipality have been honored with cash by the rural municipality.
Prashan Giri of Setidevi Secondary School located in Ritthe, Ward No. 1, Saping was the best by obtaining 3.74 CGPA . Manita Khadka of Arunodaya Secondary School, Bhumlu Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, Simthali scored 3.44 She was the best student by getting CGPA.
They were honored with 1 lakh rupees each. Also, 3 schools that succeeded in passing many students were also honored with 25 thousand in cash. Janata Secondary School of Ward No. 6, Setidevi Secondary School of Ward No. 1 and Sarada Secondary School of Ward No. 7 were awarded.
