The World Academy of Sciences (Twas) has awarded two scientists from Nepal. Tista Prasai Joshi, Senior Scientist of Nepal Institute of Science and Technology (NAST) and Bipin Dahal, Associate Professor of Chemistry of Tribhuvan University, were awarded in the Virtual General Assembly of TWAS on Thursday.

 Joshi has been given the 'Samira Omar Innovation for Sustainability' award . The amount of the prize is 4 thousand US dollars. Rahman Award' has been given. The amount of the prize is 5 thousand US dollars . TWAS awarded 25 scientists including Joshi and Dahal.

According to Twas, an award was given to Prasai for his leadership role in the quality of drinking water by solving the problem of arsenic in Nepal's underground water. Associate Professor Dahal has been awarded for his contribution to the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials with carbon quantum dot and its structure.
