The three-day Nepal Festival 2026 will be held on July 18, 19 and 20 in Odaiba, the capital of Japan, which is considered a center of attraction for tourists from all over the world.

The organizers believe that this year's edition will be the most special and international in terms of the Nepal Festival being organized in Japan.  This event, which is being jointly organized by the Embassy of Nepal, Japan, the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan and the Federation of Indigenous Peoples, Japan, is the 15th Nepal Festival to be organized in Tokyo.

According to NRNA Japan spokesperson Sachin Acharya, this time's festival will not be limited to the Nepali community alone, but will be an important opportunity to directly introduce Nepal's culture, tourism, art and civilization to thousands of foreign tourists visiting Japan.

He said, 'Odaiba is a very popular destination for Japanese and foreign tourists.  This time, Nepal will reach not only Nepalis living in Japan, but also tourists visiting Tokyo from different countries around the world. Nepal Festival will become an important medium to present our country's original culture, tourism and national identity to the world.

The festival is expected to introduce Nepal in a multi-dimensional way through original Nepali dishes, cultural tableaux of different ethnic groups, traditional dances of Bajagaja, Gurung, Magar and other communities, folk culture, handicrafts and musical performances by renowned artists. According to the organizers, the program will help establish Nepal among the international audience as a country rich in natural beauty, cultural diversity and religious heritage in a more effective way.

According to NRNA Japan President Subash Lamichhane, the amount collected from this festival, estimated to cost around 20 million Japanese yen, will be invested in the Nepal House Japan construction campaign.

There is a plan to develop the Nepal House under construction in Chiba, Japan as a center for the common identity, culture and tourism promotion of the Nepali community. Here, the religious, cultural and historical heritage of Nepal, including replicas of the Pashupatinath Temple and the Buddhist Stupa, will be displayed. The goal is to build structures that reflect the Nepali culture.

According to the organizers, the Nepal Festival is not just a cultural festival but also a joint campaign to further establish Nepal in the global tourism market, further strengthen Nepal-Japan relations, and promote Nepal's art, culture, tourism, original products, and Nepaliness among the international community.

This year's Nepal Festival, which will be held in a world-famous tourist area like Odaiba, is expected to attract significant participation from thousands of Nepalis, Japanese citizens, and tourists from various countries.
