Nepal Festival is being held in five Australian cities from Sunday. Nepali musical group 'Kandara' will perform at the festival starting from South Australia after almost a decade.

NRNA, an organization of migrant Nepalis, organizes the Nepal Festival. Earlier, the Nepal Festival has been completed in Sydney, Perth and Darwin. The Nepal Festival, which starts from Adelaide in South Australia, will end in Brisbane.

'Kandara' is scheduled to perform at all festivals. The team including Vivek Shrestha, the lead singer of 'Kandara', will make Nepali music in all the five states here. Kandara gave musical performances in various cities during the Nepal Festival organized in 2016.  

Nepal Festival has been held in Australia for almost two decades. Nepal Festival is being organized with the aim of promoting Nepali art culture and tourism, taste of costumes, music and food.

This Sunday, the festival will start from the tourist city of Adelaide, Elders Park, Melbourne's Federation Square, Canberra's Stage 88 Commonwealth Park, Horbat's Parliament House Lawn and Brisbane's King George Square on April 6, according to NRNA spokesperson Bavin Mishra.

He expressed his belief that all the preparations for the festival to be held on Sunday have been completed and more than 10,000 people will participate. The state government has also provided considerable support for the

festival. NRNA State Coordinator Sanjay Puri informed that the South Australian government has supported about 33 thousand dollars this year and other funds have been collected through sponsorship, stalls, etc. Puri informed that Nepalese ambassadors as well as state and central ministers and parliamentarians will be present at the festival, which is estimated to cost 150,000 dollars.
