Human rights activists on Monday put pressure on the death of 28-year-old Tulsi Pun Magar of Malika Rural Municipality-1, Myagdi, who worked as an agricultural worker in Korea.
After traveling for about 3 hours to Mokpho Yangsanro, which is about 360 km from the capital Seoul, Labor Councilor Maiya Kadel, President of Non-Resident Nepali Association Bipin Gurung, President of Migrant Trade Union Uday Rai, Korean Human Officers Association and other representatives from the embassy arrived at the scene and demanded action against those responsible for the crocodile's death.
A crocodile working in Bangur Farm in Korea was found hanging dead last Friday. The company's Nepali supervisor and Korean boss abused, stressed and tortured Magar, his colleagues said that he chose the path of death. Along with him, 7 people who work in the said farm have also quit their jobs due to beatings and verbal abuse from the company .
Magar's body has been kept in the local hospital.
