The government has blacklisted 10 construction companies. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers blacklisted these companies as per the decision of Ashar 25, in accordance with Subsection (1) of Section 63 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063.
Among those blacklisted, the construction company ‘Mahadev Khimti Nirman Sewa Pvt. Ltd.’ owned by former president of the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal, Ravi Singh, has been banned for three years. The office also stated that ‘Pappu-Mahadev JV’, a joint venture between Singh’s company and Sumit Rauniyar’s ‘Pappu Construction Pvt. Ltd.’, has been blacklisted for three years on the recommendation of the Hulaki Highway Directorate, Itahari.
Similarly, on the recommendation of the Itahari office, Subash Shrestha’s ‘Shrestha Construction Company (Hetauda) Pvt. Ltd.’ has been blacklisted for three years. Based on a letter sent by Triveni Municipality, Bajura, Taraprasad Pudasaini’s ‘Global Drugs Suppliers (Dhangadhi)’ has been blacklisted for one year. Other blacklisted companies include Dipendra Bahadur Shahi’s ‘Bharat–Siddhasai JV’ for one year and six months, Kamala Adhikari Sharma’s ‘Lumbini Motors and Pump Industries’ for one year, Ranbir Nepali’s ‘Hira Nepali Nirman Sewa (Jumla)’ for two years, Roshan Rai’s ‘Mayumi Construction’ for one year, and Ravi Shrestha’s ‘Shubham Nirman Sewa (Gorkha)’ for two years.
These blacklisted companies will not be allowed to participate in any procurement or construction process of public bodies during the specified period.
