Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the prices of petroleum products. The corporation issued a press release on Tuesday and informed that petrol has been reduced by Rs 20 and diesel/kerosene by Rs 30 per liter.

Fuel prices in Nepal had also increased after the price of crude oil increased due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia since February 28. However, criticism had started that the corporation did not reduce it even though the price of crude oil in the international market had decreased.

The corporation has stated that as per the new purchase price received from Indian Oil Corporation on Tuesday, the prices of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and LP gas have also decreased.

The board of directors of the corporation held on Tuesday decided to reduce the retail price of petrol by Rs 20 per liter, diesel/kerosene by Rs 30 per liter, aviation fuel by Rs 40 per liter for domestic use, and aviation fuel by US$ 265 per kiloliter for Kathmandu. And LP gas has been reduced by Rs 100 per cylinder.

Now the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 194.50 to Rs 197 per liter. Earlier it was Rs 214.50 to Rs 217. The price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 192.50 to Rs 195. Earlier it was Rs 222.50 to Rs 225. Similarly, the price of LP gas has been fixed at Rs 2,060 for a full cylinder (14.2 kg) and Rs 1,030 for a half-filled cylinder (7.1 kg).
