Saying that unnecessary rumors were being spread in the market and creating panic among small investors, Finance Minister Wagle instructed Chairman Bhatta to crack down on it.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Chairman of the Nepal Securities Board.  The newly appointed Chairman of the Board, Gopal Prasad Bhatta, was administered the oath of office and secrecy at the Ministry on Monday. 

Bhatta was appointed as the Chairman of the Board by the Council of Ministers meeting held on Ashad 20. After the oath, Finance Minister Wagle also directed the newly appointed Chairman Bhatta to work honestly for the protection and welfare of investors' investments.

He also directed Chairman Bhatta to work away from any kind of greed and temptation. He also said that the newly appointed Chairman should pay special attention to the protection of investors' investments and to maintain the rhythm of economic growth through capital mobilization in the market.

'Protect the investments of investors in the capital market without succumbing to any greed and influence,' said Finance Minister Wagle, 'I am with you. The government will provide all kinds of support. Create an environment that will pave the way for economic growth through capital mobilization.’

Finance Minister Wagle also instructed the newly appointed Chairman Bhatta to submit plans for every day, week, month, 6 months and one year to carry out capital market reform work.

Saying that unnecessary rumors have been spread in the market and creating fear among small investors, Finance Minister Wagle also instructed Chairman Bhatta to eliminate it.

At the program, the newly appointed Board Chairman Bhatta said that he would work honestly in the development of the capital market as per the plans of the government and the Finance Minister. He also expressed his commitment to fully utilize his knowledge, experience and skills in a manner that would benefit the investors in the market and support the government’s economic growth goals.
