The government has returned the money of 304 additional small savers of troubled cooperatives. 

The Troubled Cooperative Management Committee today returned the savings of small savers of agricultural cooperatives and Shiva Shikhar Multipurpose Cooperative. According to the committee, 88 savers of agricultural cooperatives and 216 additional savers of Shiva Shikhar Multipurpose Cooperative received their savings back on Wednesday. Earlier, the committee had returned the money of 378 small savers, including 215 of Kantipur cooperatives, 156 of Shiva Shikhar Multipurpose Cooperatives and seven of Pashupati cooperatives. 

According to the committee, in the first phase, the money has been returned to savers with small savings. In this way, the money will be gradually classified based on the amount of the savers and returned. 

According to the committee, about Rs 46 billion in savings of about 76,000 savers of troubled cooperatives must be returned. Most of them are small savers. 

Those who save less than Rs 500,000 are classified as small savers and those who save more than Rs 500,000 are classified as large savers. The committee has stated that out of the total 76,000, only 18,000 have savings of more than Rs. 500,000.
