The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, fell by 1.64 points on Wednesday. The overall NEPSE fell by 0.06 percent compared to Tuesday to 2711.22 points. Despite rising by 8.78 points the previous day, that improvement did not last until Wednesday.
Out of the 104 companies traded today, the prices increased, 149 companies decreased, and 15 remained unchanged.
On Wednesday, a total of 7,131,557 shares were bought and sold in 47,841 share transactions. Shares worth Rs 3.19 billion 7.77 billion were traded in the transactions. The trading amount decreased compared to the previous trading day. Shares worth Rs 3.43 billion 90 million were traded on Tuesday.
Of the 13 subgroups traded, the development banks, hydropower, life insurance, production and processing, and trade indices decreased. Even though the remaining subgroup indices increased, the overall NEPSE failed to improve. It closed in a negative position.
