President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said that everyone should bring a change in their perspective on the private sector.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 34th annual general meeting of the Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Sunday, he stressed the need to change the perspective that the private sector is only for making profit.

'The private sector contributes more than 80 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP) and contributes to the construction of every infrastructure,' Dhakal said, 'The private sector is also creating the most jobs.' He said that since the Far West has immense potential for tourism, he has invested in this sector with the aim of promoting tourism and creating jobs.

'There is potential wherever you look in the Far West, that is why we have developed the largest tourism infrastructure here,' said President Dhakal, 'This will help promote tourism not only in the Far West but also in Mulum.' He expressed his belief that if we work honestly, we will get results. He said that the Far West also benefits from the proximity of large industrial areas in neighboring India.

'There are religious tourist destinations like Badimalika and Rama Roshan here,' Dhakal said, 'Now there should be investment in tourism infrastructure as well.' He said that he is continuously taking initiatives with the government to solve the problems of the private sector.
