Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products.
The corporation has announced that the domestic prices of diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel have been increased with effect from midnight on Wednesday. According to the new price list, diesel/kerosene has been increased by Rs 30 per liter and aviation fuel by Rs 5 per liter.
With the increased prices, diesel/kerosene has reached Rs 237 per liter and aviation fuel has reached Rs 256 per liter.
The corporation claims that there is still a huge loss due to the increase in prices in the international market and the calculation according to the new price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation.
Even after adjusting the prices, the loss of Rs 2.32 per liter in petrol, Rs 87.99 per liter in diesel, Rs 36.70 per liter in kerosene and Rs 331.25 per cylinder in cooking LPG gas has remained, the corporation has stated.
The corporation has stated in a statement that it has incurred a fortnightly loss of around Rs 7.81 billion 61 million.
