Saudi Arabia has decided to provide relief to those whose residence permits have expired. The Ministry of Interior has said that it has implemented a special arrangement to manage the situation of foreigners who were unable to leave the country on time due to regional circumstances. According to the ministry, holders of all types of visas—visit, Umrah, transit and final exit—whose expiration date was February 25, 2026 have been given two options. First, upon the request of the company, the visa can be renewed until April 18, after paying the prescribed fee through the platform. Second, the facility has been provided to return home directly from international borders without paying any fee or penalty without obtaining a visa. The Ministry of Interior has stated that this arrangement has been implemented in accordance with the directives of the Saudi leadership. This decision has been made in the context of the recent regional tensions that have prevented many foreign workers and visitors from returning home on time. The ministry said, 'Those who have availed of this facility must leave Saudi Arabia by April 18. Otherwise, action will be taken against those who violate the visa deadline in accordance with applicable laws.'

This decision is expected to bring relief to thousands of foreign workers and visitors, including Nepalis, in Saudi Arabia.
