Less than 11 days after the last price hike, the Corporation has increased the prices of diesel/kerosene and petrol by Rs 15 per liter, effective from midnight on Wednesday. Earlier, the Corporation had adjusted the prices of petroleum products on Chaitra 17.

Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products. Less than 11 days after the last price increase, the Corporation has increased the prices of diesel/kerosene and petrol by Rs 15 per liter, effective from midnight on Wednesday. Earlier, the Corporation had adjusted the prices of petroleum products on Chaitra 1.

The Corporation has fixed the price of petrol at Rs 184.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 186 in the second category and Rs 187 in the third category, and the price of diesel/kerosene at Rs 164.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 166 in the second category and Rs 167 in the third category. With the price adjustment, the price of petrol in Kathmandu will be Rs 187 per liter.

The Corporation has specified Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj under the first category, Surkhet and Dang under the second category, and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots under the third category.

The Corporation has clarified that due to the increasing prices of petroleum products in the international market, prices have also been increased in the local market. The Corporation has stated that the price of petrol purchased from March 1 to 24 has increased by Rs 76 per liter and diesel by Rs 143 per liter.
