Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products. The corporation has increased the price of petrol by Rs 15 and diesel/kerosene by Rs 10. The corporation has stated that the prices have been increased by Indian Oil Corporation in line with the price increase in the international market. However, the prices have been fixed in such a way that some amount will be borne by the price stabilization fund when selling without maintaining the rate sent by the corporation.

Now petrol has reached Rs 172 per liter and diesel by Rs 152 per liter. Earlier, the price of petrol was Rs 157 per liter and that of diesel by Rs 142.

The corporation has also stated that it will immediately adopt a strategy to reduce prices as soon as the prices decrease due to the sudden price increase in the international market. The corporation has also stated that even after the current price increase, the corporation will suffer a loss of Rs 3.93 billion in 15 days.
