Nepal Oil Corporation has requested everyone to purchase LP gas only as per their requirement and not to stockpile it unnecessarily. The Corporation has requested gas industry and LP gas sellers to make arrangements for the sale and distribution of LP gas by giving high priority to consumers who use it for household purposes.
The Corporation issued a press release today, stating that despite the ongoing war in the Middle East, the supply of petroleum products and LP gas is being affected globally, the Corporation is regularly supplying petroleum products and LP gas and making arrangements for sale and distribution.
The Corporation said, 'The Corporation once again requests gas industry workers across the country to inform the Corporation by 10:00 AM every day by publishing the quantity, address and contact number of the sellers sold to the consumers from their respective industries. In addition, the sellers of the concerned industries are requested to inform the Corporation every day through the concerned industries, including the name, contact number and quantity sold to the consumers.'
The Corporation has also stated that in order to streamline the supply and distribution system of LP gas in view of the current situation and facilitate the availability of gas as per the demand of the general consumer, the entire gas industry has made arrangements to market/have it marketed at half the price of Rs. 955 per cylinder, with effect from Friday, until further notice.
