Qatar Airways has announced that it will operate limited flights to and from Doha as regular flight services are affected by the temporary closure of Qatar's airspace. According to the airline, regular commercial flights are currently temporarily suspended. However, Qatar has informed on its social media platforms that flights will be operated to assist affected passengers after receiving temporary permission from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to use limited flight routes.
The airline has also clarified that these flights should not be taken as confirmation that regular commercial services have resumed. It had earlier said that regular flight operations will only resume fully once Qatar's airspace is confirmed to have reopened safely.
Qatar Airways has also arranged some direct 'point-to-point' flights to take passengers to their destinations. Qatar Airways has said that eligible passengers will be contacted directly by Qatar Airways. The airline has urged passengers not to arrive at the departure airport until they have a valid and confirmed ticket.
Qatar Airways has reiterated that the safety and health of its passengers and crew are its top priority. The airline apologises for any inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond its control and asks for passengers' patience and cooperation.
Passengers are advised to check the latest flight schedule on Qatar Airways' website, mobile app or through their travel agents.
