Nepal Rastra Bank is set to withdraw Rs 30 billion through deposit collection devices today.

The Rastra Bank has started withdrawing the mentioned amount today through the deposit collection tool after the amount (liquidity) that can be lent to banks and financial institutions is high. In the same vein, the Rastra Bank has stated that it is going to withdraw 30 billion rupees for 87 days today.

For the last three years, the Rastra Bank has been regularly withdrawing money from the market twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays. A few weeks ago, when the Rastra Bank started withdrawing money from the market through debentures for two weeks, the deposit collection tool was not issued. After that, it has been regularly withdrawing money from the market through deposit collection twice a week.

According to the notice issued by the Rastra Bank, banks and financial institutions wishing to place money in deposit collection can bid online until 3 pm today. Only banks and financial institutions of categories 'A', 'B' and 'C' will be allowed to participate in the bidding for deposit collection tools. The Rastra Bank has also stated that the deposit collection tools purchased in this way can be used as collateral in other banks and financial institutions.

The notification issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank states that the deposit collection can be bid by dividing the minimum by 100 million rupees and the maximum by 50 million rupees, leaving the remainder. The deposit collection bid will be done at the interest rate, while the notification issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank states that multiple bids can be made at multiple interest rates.
