Nepal Oil Corporation has urged people not to stockpile unnecessarily as the import, sale and distribution of cooking gas is being carried out regularly.

The Corporation issued a press release today and urged people to purchase only the necessary gas and not to hoard it unnecessarily.

Keeping in mind the upcoming general elections, 2,000 metric tons have been added to the quota set for February to import more gas. He said that currently, an average of 110 bullets of gas are being imported regularly daily. 

Some of the 23 gas industries marketing in the Kathmandu Valley are providing about 40,000 cylinders to the market daily, according to the Corporation.
