The Nepal Stock Exchange of Nepal (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, rose by nearly five points on Tuesday. The NEPSE, which had closed at 2,635.01 points after falling by 5.54 points on Monday, gained 4.90 points on Tuesday.
With this, the NEPSE index has reached 2,639.91 points. Compared to the previous trading day, the NEPSE has increased by 0.80 percent.
Out of the 13 sub-groups that were traded on Tuesday, the share prices of 118 companies increased while the prices of 134 companies decreased. The share prices of 8 companies remained stable. Although the number of companies that decreased more than increased their share prices, the overall NEPSE has risen by about five points.
On this day, 13,624,824 shares were bought and sold in a total of 77,017 transactions. Shares worth Rs 6.99 billion 4 lakh were traded from these transactions. The transaction amount has increased compared to the previous day. Shares worth Rs 6.47 billion 26 lakh were traded on Monday.
Of the 13 sub-groups that were traded on that day, the indices of hydropower, investment, collective investment funds, non-life insurance, others and trade groups increased. The indices of the remaining sub-groups decreased.
