As of Monday, Rs 133.565 crore has been collected in the fund established by the government for the reconstruction of public infrastructure damaged during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24.
For the reconstruction of public infrastructure, the government had urged everyone to voluntarily contribute by opening a bank account in the name of the ‘Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund’ at the National Commercial Bank on October 23. In the same vein, Rs 133.5 million has been collected in the fund till Monday.
On Monday, Siddhartha Premier Insurance Company contributed Rs 10.1 million to the fund. Along with this, individuals and organizations have collected approximately the mentioned amount in the fund, according to the Ministry of Finance.
There are fewer organizations and more individuals among those who have contributed to the fund so far. Based on the amount, the highest amount collected is Rs 1.5 million, while more than a dozen individuals have received one rupee, according to sources.

The report has pointed out that during the protests, public property, private businesses and institutions and commercial houses across the country suffered damage worth Rs 84.45 billion. 77 million was damaged.
The report states that 2,168 bodies and organizations were affected by the protests. Of these, 2,671 buildings were damaged. The damage is estimated at 39.31 billion 75 million rupees.
The report states that 12,659 vehicles were damaged in the protests, causing a loss of 12.93 billion 61 million rupees. The report points out that out of the total damage, 44.93 billion 73 million rupees went to the government and public sector, 33.54 billion 87 million rupees to the private sector, and 5.97 billion 17 million rupees to the community and other sectors.
Of the total government damage, 68 percent went to the federal government, while 10 and 22 percent went to the provincial and local levels, respectively. The committee has also submitted a reconstruction action plan. It is estimated that a budget of 36.32 billion rupees will be required for reconstruction.
