Cardamom exports have increased by 60.10 percent by the end of Mangsir of the current fiscal year 2082/083. According to the data of the Mechi Customs Office, cardamom worth 5.533 billion 2.49 million was exported during that period.

The office's information officer, Ishwar Kumar Humagai, informed that 2,622.10 metric tons of cardamom were exported in the five months. He said that cardamom worth Rs. 3.45 billion 6.3 million was exported in the same period of the previous fiscal year 2081/082. According to the office's statistics, tea exports have decreased by 31.40 percent in the five months of the current fiscal year. Tea worth Rs. 1.85 billion 6.2 million and seven thousand was exported during that period. Tea worth Rs. 2.7 billion 3.9 million and 36 thousand was exported during the same period of the previous fiscal year 2081/082, informed the information officer, Humagai. According to the office's statistics, veneer sheets have increased by 129.90 percent, chhurpi by 32 percent, ginger, dried beans by 48.70 percent, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage by 36.10 percent and lentils by 481 percent. Similarly, exports of plywood have decreased by 46 percent, amriso by 35.50 percent, and steel sheets by 97.80 percent.
