The prices of gold and silver have been continuously increasing in the local market for the past few days. Today too, the prices of both metals have increased.

The price of gold in Nepal today is Rs 269,300 per tola and the price of silver is Rs 4,585, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation. The prices of both metals are the highest ever. 

Last Wednesday, gold in Nepal was traded at Rs 268,100 per tola and silver at Rs 4,420. On Thursday, the prices of both metals declined slightly, with gold trading at Rs 267,500 and silver at Rs 4,400 per tola. 

Analysts have said that the price of gold and silver has also increased with the rise in the value of the US dollar. International media outlets have reported that an ounce of gold is being bought and sold in the international market today at Rs 4,500 and the same amount of silver is being bought and sold at Rs 75.
