The contract for the construction of the Mohana River-Dokebazaar-Belauri-Beldandi-Daiji road section of Kanchanpur along the Postal Highway has been terminated. The Planning Office, Dhangadhi, under the Postal Highway Directorate under the Department of Roads, on Thursday issued a public notice terminating the contract agreement with Baba Hans-Siddhisai Joint Venture (JV) Kathmandu for the construction of the road.

The Planning Office, Dhangadhi, has stated that the contract was terminated due to repeated requests, non-performance, and site closure. The performance security of the construction contractor whose contract was canceled will be confiscated. The Planning Office, Dhangadhi, had asked the construction contractor for a 15-day explanation on October 14, asking why the contract was not terminated. The construction contractor was asked to provide a 15-day explanation as per the provisions of the Public Procurement Law as the explanation submitted by the construction contractor was not satisfactory.
