The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 5.03 points on Wednesday. After a 0.19 percent decline compared to Tuesday, the overall NEPSE fell to 2609.03 points. Although the NEPSE rose by about 7 points on Tuesday, that increase did not last until Wednesday.

Of the companies that traded on Wednesday, 80 increased their share prices, 169 decreased their share prices, and 8 remained stable. The overall NEPSE fell as more companies saw their share prices decline than increase on Wednesday.

A total of 86,47,948 shares were traded on Wednesday in 91,394 share transactions. A total of 3.73 billion 8.7 billion rupees were traded in those transactions.

The trading amount also decreased compared to the previous day. On Tuesday, shares worth 3.75 billion rupees were traded in the stock market.

Out of the 13 subgroups that traded on Wednesday, all indices except collective investment funds and manufacturing and processing declined, leading to a decline in the overall NEPSE.
