Fare discounts will be provided to the helpless, disabled, children, and senior citizens when flying from Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur.
Nepal Airlines has made arrangements to provide fare discounts to the helpless, disabled, children, and senior citizens when flying from Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur, Dang.
Bal Bahadur Sunar, the chief of the airline here, said that arrangements have been made to charge only 7,645 rupees for such people, out of the 8,775 rupees that are charged for traveling from Dang to Kathmandu. Currently, flights are being operated from Tarigaun four days a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He said that there are no more than four to five passengers daily.
Although the number of passengers used to be up until Kartik, the number of passengers is currently low, said Chief Sunar. He informed that some discounts have been made for students, senior citizens, the disabled and the helpless.
The airport's runway is also small, so large aircraft cannot accommodate them. Currently, even with only 19-seater aircraft, passengers have to go to Bhairahawa or Nepalgunj due to irregularity.
